How to Apply
The fellowship starts on July 1st of every academic year.
We are committed to a fair and equitable selection process in accordance with institutional policies and federal guidelines. UCSF does not use race, gender, sex, or other protected categories or proxies for protected categories in the selection process.
Requirements:
- Fellows must have completed GI fellowship by the time the advanced fellowship begins
- Fellows must have participated in a US-based GI fellowship and be eligible for a California License (https://www.mbc.ca.gov/Licensing/Physicians-and-Surgeons/Apply/Physicians-and-Surgeons-License/). We are unable to accommodate J-1 Visas
- All applicants must submit a curriculum vitae, a personal letter on why they want to pursue a career in IBD, and two letters of recommendation, including one from their program director
- Selection is based upon interest in a career in academic IBD, prior scholarship and recommendations from your current program
- Non-US applicants that are interested in a purely research fellowship and bring their own funding may be considered separately
Applicants will be invited for a virtual in-person interview based on the above requirements. Applications are on a rolling basis. Please complete your application as soon as possible, but no later than March 1st, one year prior to your planned start date.
