Jessica B. Rubin, MD, MPH will present on "Pain Management in Cirrhosis". Dr. Rubin is an Associate Professor of Gastroenterology and a hepatologist/gastroenterologist who specializes in caring for patients with liver diseases, including those awaiting liver transplantation.

Rubin's research lies at the intersection of pain management and chronic liver disease. In particular, she hopes to identify safe and effective pain control strategies that will improve outcomes and quality of life for liver patients with pain. She also studies gender disparities in patients with liver disease, including in those awaiting liver transplants.

Rubin earned her undergraduate degree at Yale University and her medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College. She then earned a master of public health degree, with a focus in health care management, from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. At UCSF, she completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowships in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology.
