Neha Shah, MPH, RD, CNSC, CHES will present “Nutrition Applications for your Gastroenterological Practice”

Neha Shah is a dietitian and health education specialist who cares for patients with diseases associated with the gastrointestinal tract, including those with inflammatory bowel disease, short bowel syndrome, and those with ostomies. She has worked in this field since 2005. Neha earned a bachelor's degree in nutrition from California Polytechnic State University, followed by a Master of Public Health degree in public health nutrition from Loma Linda University. She is also a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician and a Certified Health Education Specialist. Committed to advancing the field of gastrointestinal nutrition, Neha combines her expertise in patient care with academic work and service to several professional organizations. The author of more than 20 publications related to inflammatory bowel disease and other GI nutrition related topics. She also lectures fellows and serves as a mentor and instructor to dietetic interns at UCSF. Neha is one of three dietitians on the advisory board for the International Foundation for Gastrointestinal Disorders. Neha is also member of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation's Northern California Medical Advisory Committee and chairs the publications committee for the joint task force of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the American Gastroenterological Association.
