Dr. Maher is Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology at San Francisco General Hospital and Director of the UCSF Liver Center. She received her medical degree at Duke University where she also completed her Internal Medicine Residency. She completed her fellowship training in Gastroenterology at UCSF.

Dr. Chugh is an Advanced IBD Fellow and gastroenterologist at the University of California, San Francisco. She received her M.D. from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Montefiore Health Systems in Bronx, NY. She was a Gastroenterology Fellow and a Chief Fellow at Yale, New Haven, CT.

GI GR - "Approach to Lower GI Motility Disorder"
Myung Ko, MD will present "Approach to Lower GI Motility Disorder". Dr. Ko is a gastroenterologist with an interest in gastrointestinal motility disorders, medical education, and geriatric gastroenterology. Her research endeavors include development of a motility curriculum for the gastroenterology fellowship, outcomes of Barrett's esophagus in elderly patients, and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction.

Jennifer Cohen Price, MD, PhD will present "Hep C". Dr. Price is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine and hepatologist, specializing in treating patients needing liver transplants. Her research interests include liver disease in HIV infection, the natural history and treatment of viral hepatitis, and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.

Bilal Hameed, MD will present "Acute Liver Failure". Dr. Hameed is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and hepatologist at UCSF who treats patients with liver disease and plays an integral role in the multidisciplinary Liver Transplantation Program.

Aasma Shaukat MD MPH will present “Colon Cancer Screening: Falling Back or Springing Forward?” Dr. Shaukat is the Robert M. and Mary H. Glickman Professor of Medicine and Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, and Director of GI outcomes Research. She is clinical researcher in colorectal cancer screening, prevention, and quality indicators for colonoscopy. She is a member of the US Multi-Society Task Force and chair of the GI field advisory Board for the Veterans Health Administration.
